I got a break from work and went up to the Red Bull Frozen Rush last Friday. They set up the viewing area so u had to be 20' tall to see into the track. The engines sounded amazing. I really surprised by the pitch and expected them to be much lower.

The trip up was an adventure. I'm you saw some on my posts about endless traffic. The entire way my buddy bitched about his shoulder, the traffic the snow how we weren't snowboarding. I couldn;t believe the number of cars off the road. The conditions weren't that bad but people were in ditches, and in other peoples'bumper... almost a 6 hour drive

There was a Team O'Neil rally School raffle. I didn;t win. I did get to talk to a couple of there guys. BFG also had a sweet Jeep

The Actual races were fairly short. The first rounds were 1 lap around the double track course. The finals I think had 2 laps and the Final race was 4. As I mentioned the viewing area sucked.

Typically the drivers were letting of the gas in the air. For the final race, no shits were given and they went full throttle. I can still hear the crackle as the truck flew through the air. They went up the mountain turned and came back down the far side

On the far side they were hitting 80-90 mph and it looked like it. I cant believe the grip they were getting on the snow. I guess the metal spikes helped a bit

For the most part, all I could see was the snow kicked p from the trucks. In one of the videos playing between races, the driver described the conditions similar to driving on mud.

The final turn before the end jump was tight.

and there was some cool shit in the parkinglot.

On the way home we passed thru Portland and met up with 505 Turbeaux. We grabbed a beer and had the most amazing Lobster Corn Chowder. Overall a pretty good day
